Bought this for a cabin trip on the Shenandoah River. Took about 10-15 minutes to inflate with the provided pump. Took all 7 kids upstream about 400-500 yards from our cabin and back down, every day for 3 days. While there were no major rapids on our section of the river, there was plenty of whitewater and rocks to avoid and get stuck on. If I had to guess, I’d say the elevation difference between our cabin and where I could no longer paddle upstream was about 4-5 ft. At that point, the current between the few openings were just too much for me to get upstream without pulling the kayak out of the water… which I didn’t want to do with the kids. We got stuck numerous times because of my navigation skills. Parts of the river were so shallow there was no way to avoid scraping the bottom of the kayak on rocks. I did not have a single leak and did not need to add air on any day of our 3 days on the river. Paddles were used numerous times to push us off of rocks and we never had an issue. Solo paddling the kids (one of which was 23 years young) upstream against the current was only challenging when there was wind or a strong current between large rocks. The only visible wear was on the fins and paddles from the numerous river rocks.

My only complaint, which really isn’t a complaint, is that I was unable to fit everything in the provided bag. No biggie… I have a duffle bag that everything fits in.

I have 2 solid bodied kayaks, one is a sports high speed yak for tours, the other is a tandem yak I got so I can use when I’m out by the water with my dog, the latter is very big and heavy, hard to handle, but I wanted something sturdy that would make it possible for me to stay on it with my dog, However given how big and heavy it is I started working on my replacement of the yak, bought another smaller tandem solid yak, it had to go back because it was not stable, got a couple of other inflatable yaks and they didn’t work for several reasons (size, stability, etc.) And then I found this and whoa, this is the best I’ve used by a lot, it’s so comfortable, it doesn’t even need a seat and I have back problems, it’s very stable and super convenient to transport, and the best part is it’s the perfect size for me and my dog. I will definitely be keeping this and selling my other yak. I’ll also recommend this to anyone looking for a stable, comfortable and cute kayak, my only regret is that I didn’t buy it sooner.

I have not used the paddles that came with it because I have my own professional adjustable paddles, I had to extend them to the max to be able to handle this kayak, which makes me think the ones that came with it will likely be too small like everyone else said, I’ll try them in my next trip and let you know what I find out.

Got this for Christmas and opened the box, read directions and inflated both compartments. Also inflated and installed one of the seats. All went well. Paddles looks great although I didn’t remove from their bag. Storage bag is very good but almost impossible to get all the air out of the kayak and fold like the factory did. Will write follow up review once I use the kayak – my expectations are high !!

I love this blowup kayak! It is easy for a single woman like me to tote it around, blow it up quickly, and put it in the water! I like that it has detachable seats so I can put my dog in the front without worrying about the seat being in the way. It was quite comfortable for being blowup seats. An excellent option for folks who have limited options to tote around a kayak. Not recommended for fast flowing rivers.

I’ll try and keep my initial thoughts simple and just say if I only took one trip with this, it was worth the money. Iordered and electric pump which is stipl on the way, but the included pump is better than I had expected. This kayak is bigger than expected as well and my daughter and I fit comfortably. It tracks very well and we had no problem going upriver against the current.

As first-time kayak owners with extensive experience in water sports including stand-up paddleboarding and small boat operation, we found this inflatable kayak overall, impressively well-constructed. The vessel excels in key safety aspects – it’s notably stable, buoyant, and watertight.
Navigation is a breeze, with responsive handling and efficient paddling performance. Even in light ocean current and wind conditions, my wife and I covered considerable distance with minimal effort.
Setup is straightforward, taking about 15 minutes on our first attempt, with most time spent on inflation. The included high-output hand pump makes this task surprisingly manageable, and with experience, setup time could easily be halved. All components, including the pump, conveniently pack into a single carrying bag.
However, one design flaw prevents this from being a perfect product: rough seams can cause significant discomfort during extended paddling sessions without protective wear. This issue, while manageable with a swim shirt and other, shouldn’t exist in a product of this caliber.
Overall, despite the seam issue, this kayak offers excellent value as a portable, stable, and user-friendly watercraft. 4 out of 5 stars.

Easy to set-up especially with an electric pump(not included). Takes a little bit to get used to coordinating with another person, but ultimately you could row it with one – though you will probably be sore after. Plenty of space and floats nicely on the lake. If your coordination is good and the water allows it, you can get up to a nice and quick speed! Very fun. Hoping next season to fish off of it. May update then!

Very nice and portable kayak. Easy to inflate and setup Plenty of room for both myself and my son. Definite more solid and stable than expected. It was easy to deflate and pack backup. Good quality and well made.

I’ve purchased inflatable kayaks and SUPs before…at a higher cost…and this one blows them all away!!

The material seems to be super durable and it floated and moved beautifully. It comes with two paddles with double-sided oars which were also outstanding in quality and construction. The seats firmly Velcro into the kayak and you can adjust the straps on the seat for firm back support which I’ve not found in other inflatables. I absolutely LOVE the canopy which is a wonderful feature when trying to protect oneself from the intense Florida sun.

If I had any complaints (and I really do not for the value), I would recommend a purge valve because water always gets in whether putting in or pulling out or taking a wave on. It is a little difficult and awkward draining but so are all of the others. However, the manufacturer of this kayak is rather genius and loves quality…so a quick and easy purge valve would be a great feature. The other feedback and heads up that I would offer is the canopy which is securely fastened and as we found out….when you get out there and the winds pick up….you’ll find yourself paddling no where very quickly and the canopy does not simply collapse down. You will need to find a spot of dry land to bring it down and store it in the kayak to carry on your merry way. Oh!! The hand pump that is included was more superior than our electric pump!!!! It worked great and filled it up with air faster than our electric pump!!! Our electric pump also has a deflator so I do recommend you get one because deflating manually is a longer process. Overall, I cannot say enough great things about this inflatable kayak for two!! Fun times are ahead for you!!!! Plenty of space and you can adjust the seat positions in the kayak because the super heavy duty Velcro strips that secure the seats are long and wide!! Enjoy!!!!

I am a kayaker – have been for years. Lugging and transporting them is a challenge. This weights 38 ponds and is manageable. In my opinion, it does not offer the back support of a rigid kayak. It is also not as roomy to accommodate the legs pf a 6 foot person and a spouse of similar height. That said, this is durable and offers a nice alternative to the occasional kayaker – easy to transport, relatively light weight. A good way to get out and enjoy the sport, provided it is not for an entire day, given that one has to scrunch one’s legs a bit. Letting out some air helps this, but I try to limit that as you want to maintain the stability of the kayak. I don’t use the canopy and instead wear a hat – reason is, I don’t want the wind to pick at the canopy as a sail and make rowing more difficult. On a windless day, I suppose it would be good, haven’t tried it yet as I kayak on a river where there’s a wind on a regular basis. The paddles are functional , but I use ones I got at a big box sports store for my other kayaks and of course they are longer, lighter and much better. This is a great value for the money and a good solution for the occasional kayaker, especially those with medium stature or for teenagers. I use my own inflator that is battery operated and made by a major tool manufacturer – makes life a lot easier. Glad to see the materials are strong and the kayak is stable, so no worries there. I am glad I have it as carrying and carting kayaks is a bit of a pain and this makes on the fly excursions more practical. For smaller folks, a no brainer… for taller folks a bit of a compromise, but still glad I have it.

This two person kayak is pretty cool. It’s very easy to take with you and not have to carry a large, heavy solid kayak. But they both have pros and cons. This one is definitely something you need to be more mindful of around sharp branches or things underwater that could cut it. I’m used to using stand-up paddle boards and they are just so much more solid so it took a little bit to get used to an inflatable kayak. My only real complaint is how much time it takes to set it up and once you’ve done it a few times it gets easier. The seats were the only part that takes more time to inflate. They have two plugs on each seat so you have four of the old style plug from inflatable inner tubes to use and it’s a bit more annoying to get the tip inserted properly and then when taking it out they deflate quicker. If they could’ve used the same type of plug that’s on the kayak it would’ve been better in my opinion, but that’s my only real negative. The kayak is a little cramped but works just fine. I took it out to a nearby lake for its maiden voyage, and it was pretty fun, the shade that goes over you actually does work. It just looks a little bit odd and you have to remember to tie it to the kayak properly to make it stand up straight. The price for this kayak is very good. I am just not sure of the longevity but time will tell so far. It’s been fun just a paddle around with.

I have never owned a kayak and did not want to spend a lot of money on a solid body before deciding if I’ll keep doing it. This Inflatable kayak was the choice to try it out and also not occupy too much real estate in the garage. It was comfortable and sturdy for a first timer. It can be inflated easily with the included pump it just takes about 5 minutes. I chose to use a powered pump to make things much easier. Paddles were easy to put together and I did not had any issues with them. Obviously I tried it in a lake not in a river with fast streams due to inexperience but it was a great activity and looks like I’ll be going for more. I highly recommend this kayak for beginners who wants to gauge the interest and doesn’t want to break the bank in the process.

This is a great kayak for the price. It’s an easy setup, but would definitely recommend an electric inflator – one that plugs into your car is best since it’s easiest to blow this up once you’re at your destination. If you’re not able to store an entire kayak in your home, this is a great option. It’s a very comfortable kayak and sturdy enough to hold two people, or in my case – a person and a large dog. I kayaked for several hours out on calm lake waters and the kayak did not deflate, and it’s made in such a way that water is able to flow out easily. For the price I would definitely recommend.

I had purchased a kayak from a big box retail store earlier in the year only to find that the way they engineered it allowed water to come in from both ends. I returned it bummed. Only to see this show up and thought I’d give it a try. Much to my surprise, it works great!! I’m 200 lbs and my spouse if about 165 so we’re under the 400 lb limit and it seemed to hold up very well. Easy to assemble and blow up with the included pump or use your own. The seats are also inflatable which probably would have been nice to have regular seats, but they worked surprisingly well. Held air just fine in our maiden voyage. Didn’t put on the sun shade yet, but that will definitely be handy so you’re not out in the baking sun. The two sets of oars easily assemble and are sturdy metal poles. Place to store some gear in front in the net. This will be great on our camping adventures!!

This 2 person kayak is great for an afternoon on the lake or some river streams. Probably would not do well in rivers with rapids. This is more suitable for calm water cruising. The kayak is easy to assembly and doesn’t take much room to pack and carry. It fits well in the carry bag provided. The included pump works well. But, I have an electric pump I use for tubing and this works so much better and saves time. Getting in and out of the kayak takes a little practice, like it does with even a hard shell kayak. We didn’t use the canopy, but it will come in handy on those hot summer days next year.

The kayak feels stable on the water, and the material is durable, giving me confidence in its quality. It’s also easy to deflate and pack into the storage bag, making it super convenient for transport and storage. Overall, it’s been perfect for my outdoor adventures.

As someone who has lived in Hawaii, kayaking in the ocean and on lakes and rivers in the continental US, I was skeptical as to the durability of this kayak.

Would you want to be around sharks in this thing? No, of course not. Would it work for most normal uses? Yes.

It is similar to the air paddle boards and works for it’s intended use.

Few products leave me truly impressed so I am excited to report on this 2-person Inflatable Kayak as it is one of those rare products that had me verbally expressing how great it is during my first use. I am certainly not an avid kayaker but I have been out numerous times in different kayaks while traveling so I have enough experience to know how well one kayak performs over another. This is the first inflatable kayak that I have ever used so I was not quite sure what to expect but it turns out that the kayak is quite tough, quite stable in the water, quite large (bigger than I was thinking which is a good thing), and yet light enough that I can carry and launch the kayak by myself (not going to be the case for many potential buyers but it can easily be handled by 2 people). The dual skegs really help in keeping the kayak running straight as you paddle which from my experience with several hard shell kayaks that did not have dual skegs is an awesome upgrade feature and really impressed me. The paddles are easy to assemble and disassemble plus they are lightweight and provide good paddling capability. The kayak itself pumps full of air pretty quickly with the included manual hand pump. There are only 2 fill ports, one for the base (bottom) of the kayak and one for the body. Of course with just 2 air chambers, should you get a puncture in either chamber you are going to sink pretty quickly so take care not to risk a puncture while out on the water. Each seat is also inflatable with one chamber for the seat bottom and one chamber for the seat back. These I filled with air the old fashioned way, mouth on fill spout – like a beach ball – since that is the type of fill mechanism used on the seats. I look forward to getting out on this inflatable kayak on a regular basis since it is so easy to transport and use.

This “Sunlite Sports 2-Person Inflatable Kayak with Aluminum Oars, High Output Air Pump and Storage Bag, Double Tandem Kayak for Adults, Two Person Canoe and Kayack” is a great deal, probably one of the best deal out there on Amazon; it is well made, and reasonable sturdy material and construction. Best of all, it is very afforable, for only $127! Renting a tandem kayak for a day probably will cost you half of that already. It is so much easier to “go for it” at this price than trying to get a kayak that cost 5-10 times. Equipping a family of four with 2 of these will only cost you $250! Also, since this is inflatable, it is so much easier to transport and store than those non-inflatable ones.

It comes with everything you needed (almost), the kayak (with fins), 2 paddles, a carrying/storage bag, an air pump. Pumping it up is easy and takes no time. I would recommend bringing a lifejacket for each person onboard and an extra/emergency paddle.

This kayak can be paddled by 1 person very comfortably, and it can fit 2 persons/adults fine too (rated up to 400 lb). Maybe a little tight for the back passenger but it is not bad. The seats with the back is relatively comfortable. I really liked this kayak a lot. I am really considering getting a second one.

It is relatively stable, and it is suitable for a lake, a bay with mild water, basically anything in short of a surf beach or river rapid.

All in all, this inflatable kayak is a great find with great value, well worth your money, and I guarantee that you will have fun with it, single or tandem.

Thank you for reading this review, I hoped that this review is helpful to you in support of your purchase decision.

We have owned a few inflatable rafts over the years, I simply don’t have the room to store a full sized hard set of kayaks. I usually find that the inflatable nose is too soft and acts like a blunt edge in the water, making it harder to paddle and use extra effort to move. This, however, surprised me! Despite being inflatable, the little thing seems to be slicing through the water like a hard kayak! There’s room for two, and it comes with 2 double sided paddles and a hand pump.
I would strongly recommend an electric pump, it uses standard Boston valves so most air mattress pumps will do. The seats are a little funny, they use Velcro to stay in place and a buckle strap to hold it upright when you lean back on it. I wish these were hard seats you could just Velcro in place as I found that was somewhat difficult to get set up correctly, and it would be more comfortable. However, considering this folds up into a small easy to store bag, I can’t complain too much!
Someone pointed out that these might not be “coast guard approved” because they don’t have a double hull, however there are two independent chambers in case one pops. You may have to check if it is valid for a boat launch license in some places. For us, it was great and I would highly recommend it!

I picked this one up for my kids, and I am soooo glad that I did! The price is definitely affordable. But don’t expect the quality of a regular expensive one. My one main complaint is that it takes what feels like forever to inflate this. Once you go through the hassle of inflating it, it is sooooo much fun! The kids really really enjoyed using it. The adults however felt that it was too small to really enjoy. I’m 5’3″ and even my legs felt a little cramped being in there with one of my 5 year old twins. But she enjoyed the heck out of it. And all of my 5 kids had zero complaints whatsoever! They absolutely loved being able to paddle around on their own, and they had enough room. I would not really suggest this for two adults though as you will both feel really cramped into it. One small thing that we did change was the carry bag. Like a tent works, unless you fold this thing the exact same way that it came out of the bag, you are not getting it back in there without stuffing the crap out of the bag. So we just upgraded the bag.

I love kayaking, but always used rentals. This inflatable kayak is perfect for me. It is easy to store and doesn’t take up much room. It is convenient to transport and fits in the trunk of my car. As far as actual kayaking goes, it is a lot of fun. It tracks pretty well and is comfortable to sit in. The seats have good back support. The 2 paddles work well, too. It inflates easily, but I confess to using my electric pump, because it will take some time to inflate by hand. The seams are strong .
We are having a lot of fun with this kayak and I know my family will love it when they visit.
