The JAM² 6.7 originates from Focus’s R&D center in Stuttgart. The well-designed folding rear triangle has been proven in motorless mountain bikes and therefore also applies here.
Bosch is the main motor manufacturer in the EMTB sector and is on par with Shimano – which is not surprising, as the Performance Line CX shows. The Bosch motor is characterized by its comprehensive motor control and dynamic power delivery. Few other motors can achieve such a perfect balance between natural support and power. Thanks to the good range, the JAM² 6.7 can easily cope with long rides.

: On rough terrain, the JAM² 6.7 with the medium Rock Shox chassis lacks control. Shimano’s mid-range brakes are good, but could be a little stiffer. The power of the four-piston setup is just average. There is still room for improvement in the gearshift and components. Other suppliers have invested more in these components. The moderate head tube angle balances stability and agility on descents. The reach is also just right. A low bottom bracket ruins trail handling. On other bikes, you ride closer to the handlebars. Short chainstays and a slacker seat tube angle make the front wheel lighter on steep climbs. You need to consciously lean forward to keep the front wheel planted. There’s no point in beating around the bush: the Focus’ geometry isn’t to our taste. Competitors are closer to the cutting edge in this regard.
