I just purchased two of these bikes for my wife and I. For context we both had cheap Walmart bikes as kids/teens but never an electric bike.
I was a little overwhelmed by the number of options out there and I saw a YouTube review of this bike and it seemed decent so I decided to just buy the cheapest ones. Our bikes cost just under $500 each after taxes and shipping.
So far only one bike has arrived but it came a day early so hopefully the other one is still on the way but they shipped with FedEx so who knows.
Honest review of the bike – The bike itself is about the same quality as a cheap $200 Walmart bike. The shifters feel cheap, and you can tell the bike was made out of heavier but cheaper materials. That being said before shipping it only cost $50 – $100 more than those cheap Walmart bikes so not a big surprise and it is still very rideable even without the electric turned on it’s just made of cheaper materials and I’m not planning on getting more than a couple years out of it before I have to replace it but for the price that’s OK.
As for the electronic part it actually has more power than I anticipated. Even on the lowest setting the pedal assist provides a very noticeable boost and when turned all the way up to five you can pedal up some pretty big steep hills at 10 or 15 miles an hour without hardly breaking a sweat. For reference we live in the foothills of North Carolina near the Blue Ridge mountains so we have a lot of hills.
The headlight and fenders are more of a gimmick. They do function, but I chose not to use the fender on my bike as I don’t like the look and the headlight isn’t that bright but it does work.
Assembling the bike was pretty straightforward though I did accidentally put the handlebars on upside down the first time. The directions were very easy to follow and it came with all of the necessary tools and hardware.
Overall I can see why someone would spend more money on a higher quality bike as some of the components are cheap and I really don’t expect this bike to last me more than a couple years, but for the price I think it’s great and has lots of power and it is a great first bike for someone like me who knows nothing about the e-bikes.
If you don’t purchase this bike and decide to purchase something more powerful I would recommend making sure that you purchased something with hydraulic brakes. This bike does not have hydraulic brakes just the regular cable brakes and they work fine, but when you’re going fast or down a hill it feels a little sketchy. The bike is limited to 20 miles an hour but that just means the motor stops helping you after you exceed 20 miles an hour. When you crest a hill already doing 20 miles an hour and then shoot downhill you can easily get this bike up to 35 miles an hour or more by peddling as hard as you can down the steep hill. On paper that sounds like a good idea and like it would be fun but in reality it’s very scary on a bicycle with cheap brakes. Of course the obvious solution is just to not go that fast but I’m just saying if you get a faster bike than this make sure you have hydraulic brakes.
Sorry for the long review but I couldn’t find a lot of information before purchasing this bike and a lot of the reviews looked fake to me so I wanted to leave something with some real information for anybody trying to make a decision. As long as you’re OK with replacing it in a couple years I would say go ahead and just buy this bike. In a couple years time you can spend more money on something better and you’ll know what you want after getting some experience with this cheap one!

The ebike didn’t arrive fully assembled, and I had to install a few parts. It wasn’t challenging, but I made some errors, like installing the front wheel on the wrong side. I noticed that the braking cable crossed the handle post, so I had to dismount and remount it correctly with the front wheel brake and the braking cable on the same side. I also installed the front light and fender incorrectly. I missed where the manual said to install it all in one place in front of the holding mount, and I ended up placing the light in front and the fender at the back of it. I later realized this mistake. Additionally, the bike comes with a front and rear reflector, as well as one on each wheel, but it doesn’t have a rear light. I installed one myself to increase visibility.
Further, I tested the front light as instructed by the user manual. To do so, I had to turn on the ebike, but the manual doesn’t mention how to do that at the point of installation. Yes, there is a red switch on the battery, but it took me a few minutes to figure out that I had to press and hold the power button on the LCD display as well. The manual should at least mention where to find the instructions on how to turn the ebike on or mention this early in the assembly section, not 5 pages further in on page 15 under Display Controls. Still, I managed to complete the setup of the bike after these minor hurdles. The bike includes front and rear disc brakes, 26-inch wheels, a locking front shock absorber, and a headlight. It weighs 49.6 lb, according to the manual. Despite its weight, I can reach over 21 mph in less than 10 seconds.
Afterward, I wanted to charge the battery but saw that it was almost fully charged, so it took me less than one hour to fully charge it. The LCD Display, in my opinion, functions like a bike computer, providing quite a lot of information. I can see the odometer, voltage data of the battery, the distance of a single trip, battery status, and assist level, which is the current power assist level. To increase the pedal assist level, I press the plus button, and to decrease it, I press the minus button. I can toggle between the odometer, trip distance, and voltage by short-pressing the power button. It’s from the LCD Display that I can also turn the headlight on and off and sound the horn, which is quite similar to a car horn. I can even adjust the brightness of the backlight and set the bike to turn off automatically after a certain period of inactivity, ranging from 0 minutes (meaning it stays on continuously) to 60 minutes. I can also reset the odometer.
After learning all these controls, I got familiar with the ebike’s five riding modes: Bicycle Mode, Pedal Assist Mode, Throttle Mode, Cruise Mode, and Booster Mode. In Bicycle Mode, I can pedal the bike normally without turning on the LCD display – it’s equal to riding a regular bike. In Pedal Assist Mode, the motor provides extra power as I pedal. I can choose from five levels of pedal assist, depending on how much assistance I want, and the bike always starts at level 0 to avoid any accidents that might occur if I accidentally twist the throttle. To use Throttle Mode, I turn on the LCD display and select a level. Then, I just twist the throttle to control my speed without pedaling. If I want to maintain a steady speed, I press and hold the minus button when I’m going faster than 6.2 mph. When the display flashes the P icon, Cruise Mode is on, and the bike will maintain that speed. However, if I twist the throttle or apply the brakes, Cruise Mode automatically turns off. Booster Mode allows the bike to move at a speed of no more than 4.2 mph when I activate it by long-pressing the minus button. The display will show the P icon again, and like with Cruise Mode, Booster Mode turns off if I squeeze the brake.
I quickly realized how much the ebike improves my daily commute. I use it to avoid public transit since I can easily reach my workplace by riding through safe residential streets and roads. My commute is now less hectic than dealing with crowded or late buses. Riding the ebike also saves me money. I no longer need to spend on public transport, and when compared to driving, I save on gas as well. I don’t miss the stress of finding parking or sitting in traffic jams, either. Plus, the ebike gives me a bit of exercise without overexerting myself. I find that using Pedal Assist Mode lets me control how much effort I want to put in.
I always use the bike for short trips. I’ve started using it for running errands, like quick grocery trips or visiting downtown. It’s a relief I don’t have to worry about traffic or parking. When I’m riding on longer, uninterrupted stretches of road, I often switch to Cruise Mode. It keeps my speed steady, and I can relax without constantly having to adjust the throttle or pedals. In my experience, the ebike is intuitive to use.
Nonetheless, there’s a bit of routine maintenance that I do to keep the bike running safely, particularly with the battery. I charge it after each ride fully, although it rarely drains completely since I’m not using the motor at full power all the time. I noticed it charges quickly. Most of the time, the battery reaches full charge in a few hours. Additionally, once a month, I discharge the battery completely before recharging it, as instructed by the manual. I hope this maintenance step prolongs the battery’s life and keeps it working optimally on every ride. So far, two months have passed, and I haven’t experienced any issue while riding.

Although I have not taken it out for a ride, I want to say the quality of this bike is amazing. All welds and parts superior to a bike similar in its cost range. It was well packaged, and the assembly instructions were very easy to follow. All tools are included. You might need to adjust the mechanical disc brakes, mine are rubbing but that is expected in a bike at this price. The Grey Silver color scheme is very nice. The handlebars feel good, and controls are all ergonomically positioned. There is room to add a Garmin GPS or your phone to the handlebars. The display dash is bright and clear and very intuitive to use. Very nice for the first eBike. I haven’t ridden it yet but will update when I do.
Update March 13, 2025: So far, I now have put about 30 miles on this bike. I like power assist and throttle controls. It is somewhat responsive but lags slightly in pedal assist kicking back in if you stop peddling and start again. Powering up hills is very good in power assist. Haven’t tried in throttle only up hills. The battery is about 8 lbs and is a little tricky to place in its position on the bike. The disc brakes are more than adequate and mine don’t squeak. I had to adjust the front ones since they were rubbing, so be prepared to do so if that is the case. Plenty of YouTube videos of brake adjusting.
Ride and Comfort
The ride is acceptable but can be teeth rattling on uneven terrain at higher speeds. I find that’s where you get what you pay for. Although totally acceptable beware bumps can be harsh especially at higher speeds. The front shock absorber helps but is not the best. I mostly ride in power assist 1 or 2 and push it to 4 or 5 uphill. Going uphill is what this bike does well. I never used throttle only for hills.
Battery Life and Controls
So far after riding 21 miles on power assist 1 or 2 and sometimes using power assist 5 on a few hills it used about 50 percent of the battery. The battery display shows bars that don’t always corelate to the bars on the battery itself. Where the battery on the dash would show 2 out of 5 bars the battery would show 4 bars out of 5. Also, the dash shows remaining voltage which is an indicator of the battery life.
Conclusion
For the money you cannot beat this bike. The bike is a higher quality “cheap” bike if that makes sense. It is very fun to ride, and I think the range is there if you take it easy. Where it lacks torque the motor and battery have power.
UPDATE: May 18, 2025 — I now have put over 350 miles on this bike. I have not had any issue with the bike, the motor or battery. I have been logging miles in i get on a full charge. I mostly use it for recreational riding in my neighborhood and on bike trails. Where I live it is hilly so in a 12-mile ride I may ascend 400 to 600 feet. I have been getting 35 miles off a single charge with approximately 30% of the battery left. The most miles I did was 40 miles, but this left the battery almost drained. I mostly ride in pedal assist 1 and 2 and occasionally on 8% hills place into PA 3 or 4. The battery voltage range is 54.4 -40.0 volts. You can monitor the voltage on the display making it a great “fuel gage”. I usually ride to about 42 volts and then charge the battery. This usually is indicative of 30% to 20% of the charge left. Overall, I am very happy with this bike. I replaced the pedals and the seat, it’s not necessary but more a personal preference.

This bike is one of the cheapest electric bikes on amazon, but you wouldn’t know it given the quality that you get once it arrives. The bike itself is build extremely well for even a non-electric bike of this price, the frame feels good and the fork suspension is actually functional, unlike a lot of other cheap bikes. The wheels, shifter, and breaks are also pretty good quality for the price, still being cheap but not the levels I thought it would be at.
The electric function of the bike was also quite impressive, as the bike actually reaches the claimed speeds even though I am likely heaver then the average user. The battery I found last for about 20 miles, but that is with some amount of manual pedaling so it is really closer to about 13 at full throttle (which is still quite impressive for the relatively small battery). The best part however was even though the bike is pretty heavy compared to non-electric bikes I was still able to ride it without power fine and is actually a very smooth and enjoyable experience.
The issues I have however is the pedal assist could use some work, it lags behind from when you actually start pedaling making it not that seamless between powered and non-powered pedaling. Additionally it seems that the power levels with the pedal assist are not the usable, at power level one while just regularly pedaling I end up going around 13 mph which is way to fast for what should be power 1. When using power 1 with the throttle I go around 7 mph, which is what I expect. Maybe it’s my own way of riding a bike, but the pedal assist is just uncomfortable to use because it does not feel like I am pedaling at all when using it and it is extremely hard to manage my speed. At power 5 while using petal assist I end up going around 22 mph, but because of the small gearing on the bike even at the largest ratio my feet can’t move fast enough to actually contribute any power to the bike.

So far so good, I’ll be sure to adjust my review if anything crazy comes up, but so far I am blown away by what I have received for the price. It comes with everything you need to build and adjust everything (besides niche little things like trueing keys). I’d definitely set aside a weekend of tinkering if you aren’t familiar with this kind of thing, but it’s a wonderful little pet project that really isn’t that difficult or labour intensive. I can easily see myself pouring hours into this thing just because I can. I am very excited to see what this bad boy can do, and I’ll be sure to come back here to update once I’ve really put it to the test, but so far it has given me so much freedom and joy already. I am so thankful to these guys for making a bike like this affordable. So, unless it spontaneously combusts while it careens wildly out of control at the speed of sound, impeccably timed as to make me miss my own step cousins half siblings neighbor from three doors downs hamsters surprise birthday party, they have earned themselves a customer for life.
UPDATE: After riding it for a while, I have determined that the kickstand is too close to the pedals. It’s almost made me eat it a couple times, having my heel hit the bit where it connects to the bike. There’s a lot of momentum that gets shot around when you ride on your toes like you’re supposed to and your foot gets stuck between a pedal moving upward and solid metal that you’re sitting on. I have a size 7.5M foot, if that matters. But as long as you keep your feet a bit further forward, and be careful, especially at speed, it’s not something I’d choose another bike over. Especially when everything else is several hundred more. In fact, I bet this could be totally solved with a new $20 kickstand.
So yes, a kinda big design flaw, but clearly it’s not enough to change my review from a 5 star. This is worth every penny. Everything I said before the update remains intact. I am thoroughly satisfied with my purchase.

I ordered 3 of these bikes. For someone who hasn’t rode a bike in years I didn’t want to get a more expensive bike in case I didn’t like it or something along those lines. We are all three very happy with the bikes. They do go 21 MPH. The frame is like a standard mountain bikes tou can mount a basket on the back or front. Seats are hard and small so you might want to get a new softer seat. We did. Bikes are easy to ride and have lots of gears. Hear stake a little practice. Ike’s are ha wavy and well built. I got 3 colors so we could tell them apart. The color is on the battery itself. So far we are very happy with them and as long as they hold up we have no intention of upgrading.

I’ve just hit 50 miles on the odometer, and gotta say I’m very confident with this bike. I’m 6’1” and 200lb, and it has no problem speeding up to 21mph and is very comfortable. Pedal assist works but kinda hits with a jolt, I mostly use it as a means to boost speed when coasting.
All of the components are definitely on the lower end of MTB parts, but are name brand. I wouldn’t recommend buying this unless you feel comfortable doing basic mechanic work.
So this is my first electric bike, but I’m going to apply the same logic that goes into buying your first dirt bike, 3D printer, or really anything this has a learning curve. Buy something that comes out of the box needing to be tinkered with, it’ll expose gaps in your knowledge and force you to learn new skills. This bike seems to be perfect for that. Out of the box the brakes had slight issues, the tires probably need to be trued, and energy management to solely down to the user. Everything in the box has the potential to work flawlessly but it’s on you to make that happen. If you want a bike that is 100% out the box look elsewhere, if you actually want to know how the bike works and how to improve it this is perfect for you.
Also, I will note that I haven’t been able to unlock the governor using P08 like you can with other bikes. The option is missing from the controller, but honestly for my area I don’t need it.
For the price you really can’t go wrong, all the issues I’ve had can be fixed easily by watching a couple YouTube videos. I’m not great at writing reviews, but I’m extremely confident with this bike, been commuting to work on it for a week, have taken it on a long ride, and have done some trail riding and the bike hasn’t flinched.
I’ve also gotten a lot of compliments on its looks, glad I went with the Black/Red paint.
Protip: Holding the minus(-) button while maintaining speed turns on cruise control.
Photo notes: I have added a tail rake and a more powerful light.
Update: I’ve rode 200 miles and she’s still going strong.

First off let me start this review out by saying that I have noticed a lot of post on other forums such as Reddit that claim this bike on Amazon is a scam because of being such a bargain price. I placed an order with Amazon for this bike for 219. ‘With tax and shipping the total price came out 442,79. I also bought a different e-bike from Amazon just a few days before ordering the Funhang. Between the two bikes, the Funhang arrived with the better packaging. The Funhang was also the easier bike to assemble. It only took 5 days for the bike to arrive after ordering. After receiving the bike, and opening the box. It took between 30 and 45 minutes for me to assemble the bike. I charged the battery and inflated the tires to 55 psi. Took a couple of hours to charge the battery. I took the bike out for a test ride. This bike is definately worth 442.79. And is definitely not a scam. I am 6’2″ and 250 pounds. This bike will reach 21 miles per hour with me on it. This bike will get a person up a hill with no issues. I’ve seen a several people crap on this bike (via social media post). I will tell you do not listen to the critics, they do not know what they are talking about. I chose not to install the fenders, as I think the bike looks better without them. This bike is one of the lighter weight bikes I have had the pleasure to ride. It has plenty of acceleration. The ride is smooth and comfortable. I set the front suspension to the open position. No it’s not the fastest e-bike you can get. Yes it’s only a 500 watts. But don’t let the specifications fool you. This bike is plenty powerful enough for most people. Besides that in my opinion I feel like anything over 25 miles per hour on a bike is a little too on the dangerous side anyway. I am very satisfied with my purchase. In fact I would not hesitate to buy another one. The other bike I own is 750 watts with a top speed of 28 mile per hour. But it’s a heavier bike and harder to tote up and down a narrow stairwell. Between the two bikes I much prefer the Funhang for its total weight and comfortable ride. I don’t need to do 28 miles per hour on a bike in my town with all of the traffic we have here. I feel much safer on the Funhang and like the looks a of it because it looks like a regular bike with a battery mouted on the down tube. So if you happen to read a bad review of this bike saying it’s a scam or it’s a crappy bike. More than likely they didn’t purchase the bike and have no idea what they speak of. They are just basing their opinions off of the specifications of the bike and the fact that it’s so cheap or sold on Amazon. Please don’t let any of these post’s discourage you from purchasing this very affordable performing e-bike.

After 200 miles, I have lots of thoughts.
Pros:
– Powerful, you can feel the torque when you start it and it climbs hills at a steady 16/17 mph
– Speed. The speed is as advertised and it feels plenty fast when you’re on it.
– Battery. At consistent full throttle, you can still get about 15-20 miles.
– Resilient. After heavy rain, mud, and gravel practically painting the bike it still moves like it’s brand new.
Cons:
– The brakes (as effective as they are) are super squealy, even after lots of riding
– If it’s important to you, it’s worth noting the cadence sensor lags significantly behind your pedaling, but pedal assist feels great otherwise.
– The pre-installed light is basically useless in actual darkness
TLDR: An e-bike that surprises and out does others at a much cheaper price. Great for e-bike beginners or people looking for an extra cool bike to get around on.

I’ve never owned an ebike before, so not sure exactly what I was expecting with the pedal assists feature.
I bought this bike in the hopes of getting me back into shape, and in the hopes that it would get my biking muscles and lungs back to where I can conquer the surrounding hills all around my home and area.
Well, I am very impressed with this bike and it’s pedal assists features. It truly helps the rider traverse long and steep hills with a significantly less effort. So, the rider still gets a good workout, without all the pain and agony of an all human powered Hill climb.
This bike came very well packed and in a very robust box. The bike is over 50lb, so lifting it out the top of the box may not be doable for many people to do it alone. It comes mostly assembled, but what’s left to assemble may be a bit challenging for those not mechanically inclined. There’s always the option of paying a bike shop to do this for you, which is probably ideal for the sake of safety in a properly assembled bicycle.
I have a lot of experience working on bicycles, but by the time I was done assembling and fine tuning everything to my preference, it still took well over an hour from start to finish.
The battery was still nearly fully charged, out of the box. I did a quick test run and everything worked perfectly!
I’ve now had the bike for a couple of weeks, and I could already tell that my body is getting stronger at cycling, again. Less pain and soreness and I’m getting more and more comfortable with the bike’s handling and my own road cycling mentality.
For the overall quality of this product, the total cost of just over $400 is truly impressive, and an absolute bargain!

I have been riding road bikes for 34 years and I am very happy with this bike. It was delivered in a thick cardboard box that was stapled, banded and taped. The frame and forks (wrapped in foam sheets) were secured with molded rubber blocks. The finish was perfect. Not a scratch or mark. Excellent packaging. The wheels run true and the Shimano 21 speed shifter works beautiful. No adjustment needed. Petal assist, cruise control, and throttle all work with five power levels. Mostly using power level one. It also has a 2-3 mph setting for walking along side of the bike. I live in moderately hilly territory and my 77 year old knees are finally getting a break. For the money, this is a good deal.

Time to review: the e-bike is 750w and runs 21Mph which I think is enough, faster than that will be dangrous. The bike is nice, neat wiring, good light. I had issues with the battery at beginning but the supplier sent me another one which now works perfectly. The front suspension is really good and can be locked too. The supplier is responsive, well behaved and problem solving. I highly recommend this supplier and of course the best e-bike. Giving out 5 stars

Wasn’t sure what to expect. Can’t say I am a advide bicyclist. I am 6′ 1″ 290lbs. Stayed looking at ebikes this one seemed like a good deal. Assembly was farely easy. Hardest part was getting it out of the box. As for ride. This is an absolute joy. The pedal assist is a great help and throttle only, what can I say but..wheeeeeeeeeeee! I can’t stop riding it. It will be a great help getting in better shape. Love this bike.

I got the bike about 2 days ago and i can’t myself off of it. It’s a smooth ride with a nice throttle and gets up to 20 mph. The instructions are pretty simple making the assembly a bit easier but jus to get a better visual representation i would recommend watching a youtube video on it. My only problem was the shipping that was 190 dollars

My Dad (78) loves his new electric bike it was easy to put together to both of us about 45 minutes. It’s made of good quality metal and lightweight we replaced the seat with a better quality fir comfort no issues with the speed gets up hills with no problem.
