I’ve been into pools since 1999, so I know a thing or two—and I have to say, this Bestway Steel Pro MAX 12′ x 30″ Above Ground Pool is a solid 10/10. The setup was super easy. With two people, it took about 45 minutes from start to finish, and everything went together smoothly with clear instructions.
The size is perfect for families or just cooling off on hot days, and the frame feels sturdy and well-made. The depth is just right at around 26.5 inches of water—great for kids and adults alike.
Now, the one thing to note: the pump that comes with it isn’t strong enough. If you’re just dipping your toes into pool ownership, it might do for the short term, but I definitely recommend upgrading to a more powerful pump for better water circulation and filtration. As someone who’s been around pools for decades, I can confidently say a stronger pump will make a world of difference in keeping the water clean and clear.
Overall, awesome pool for the price, easy setup, and a summer must-have—just plan to invest in a better pump!

Great product, the 10ft diameter pool, fits perfect in our backyard. I was hesitating at first, but when we finally decided to install it, after almost a year of having it, I can honestly say that it’s look great, the high is perfect you don’t need any steps to get in and out.
Easy to install, it took my husband and I about 20 minutes in total, plus the time to fill it up with water (2-3 hours).
We both enjoy to work in the garden, and now we can jump in the water to refresh ourselves after.
We are very please with it, We love it!
we’ll see how it’s going to resist the brutal heat of central Florida, only time will tell

Just got this pool in today ! Honestly was pretty easy to setup ! Only took about 30-40 mins with 2 people , the pump was the only tricky part doesn’t explain it the best only shows pictures for instruction’s , came with pump and filter and all the parts , didn’t really level my ground since one part was pretty flat may put one or two pavers once it’s filled up to make it leveled better ! Hole size is 12 x 30. The pump seems to be working great so far but if you want longer term probably best to up size ! My kid definitely will have fun with this pool and will have a lot of fun with it for this extreme summer heat !! BUY the pool ! Won’t break the bank ! Definitely was iffy about getting it because of mixed reviews , but any pool will have mixed reviews and all will have different experiences,Also great size for all to enjoy ! Video of it filling up ! And overall look of size

SETUP: I set this pool up by myself and it took me 2 hours. If you have help, 2 people can get this done in 30min for sure. Instructions were easy and no actual tools were needed. The liner seams to be good quality, it’s thick.
FILLING UP: A standard garden hose filled this 12×30 pool in 4 hours. No leakage anywhere so that’s good.
FILTER: The pool included a small filter pump that’s 330gph but I purchased a bigger filter pump that’s 1000gph. Is it overkill? Not sure but I know my pool will stay clean.
OVERALL: I recommend this pool for the summer and could honestly last year round in Florida. It’s bigger than I thought it was and it’s perfect. It will definitely keep our family cool during these hot days. If you’re thinking about, just get it. You won’t regret it.

This has been an awesome pool. On our 4th year of use. I did get rid of pump it came with and purchased sand filter pump. Made huge difference. Lots of fun had in this pool. Very durable. Need to spray metal parts with clearcoat rustoleum. Would buy again

it’s budget friendly and straightforward for install. It was not very “tall” and my miniature schnauzer found his way into the pool chasing a squirrel while I wasn’t home. (He’s ok BUT it could have been different outcome) because of this situation, I opted to remove this pool and will purchase a taller on that I can secure better from my high jumper.

I love this swimming pool. I have RLS, and kicking around in the water really helps. Plus, I’ve always loved swimming but will never be able to afford an inground pool. So I bought this pool for me. I’m 59 years old and it took me less than an hour to set it up. It’s a nice way to cool down in the Florida heat. I like that the frame is made up of a very durable plastic. My old pool had a metal frame and it rusted after 2 years. The plastic frame will last much longer. I know that many people will buy this pool for their kids, but I gotta say, it’s the perfect size for adults too. In fact, I’m the only one using it. The water is deep enough to kick around in it, and it’s super relaxing just floating around on an air mattress. It’s big enough, but not too big, so it’s easy to keep clean. My one issue is the pump. After just one day, we noticed that it’s leaking.
The pool is great, but the pump is not. At any rate, the pool is worth the money. I love it.

14’x33″ bestway above ground pool….do not let bad reviews keep you from buying this….make sure your installing it on level ground…super easy to put up…very sturdy…as it fills periodically keep adjusting the legs so the stay straight very easy to do…pump works fine as long as you keep your pool clean and filter clean…all around awesome…buy it! MAKE SURE ITS LEVEL AND YOU WILL HAVE ZERO ISSUES.

This pool is the best purchase I’ve made this summer! We’ve only had it for a few days, so I will update on longevity over time, but so far…it’s stood up to some intense kids playing, and it’s been a godsend for me given that it’s hitting 100 degrees out & our A/C decided to die.
Now! Onto what you need to purchase alongside this pool to make it amazing.
First, the pump that comes with this pool is inadequate. I very quickly purchased the “Bestway Flowclear 1,000 Gallons Per Hour 120 Volt Above Ground Swimming Pool Water Filter Pump Cartridge with Automatic Shut Off Timer” pump to replace the one that comes with this pool. This larger pump fits the same exact hoses at the pump that comes with this pool, so switching the pump was very simple. It’s a much better pump, and I got lucky and got it for a very good deal!
Second, you’re going to want a pad for under the pool. I got a 12-foot round pool liner pad so that it would be larger than the pool, and I think that was a good choice.
Third, you’ll obviously want a skimmer net, but I also bought a Sepetrel 2023 Upgraded Swimming Pool Spa Jet Vacuum Cleaner with Brush & 56″ Pole. This is basically a manual pool vacuum that hooks up to your garden hose. I like it because I basically end up topping off the pool water while vacuuming the pool.
Fourth, chlorine. I’ve ordered 1 inch tablets to go in a floater, but I started with granules because tablets were just not in stock. I actually quite like the granules – not sure if I’ll stick w/ tablets or granules or both. It’s probably good to have both in case the tablets just aren’t enough for heavy-use days.
Last but not least, you’ll want some pool tester strips. I’m using the JNW 7-Way Pool Test Strips, and I really like them. They’ve helped me maintain the chlorine levels. i’ve needed to add more granules every day – especially after the kids use the pool.
Oh wait – also, I got a cover…but I’m not using that yet. Still, I’m sure I’ll be glad to have it in time.
That’s all I’ve got! I researched pools to death before purchasing this one, and I’m happy with my purchase! I’ll likely drain the pool at the end of the season and set it back up again next year assuming it survives the children lol. RIP my water bill though. Probably. (It took about 4 hours to fill)

This is my second purchase for the 12′. Had two 10′ before. The last 12′ lasted 2 or so years, but finally was leaking from the bottom and had to be replaced. The liner is tough but we placed on a rough brick paver surface, so it eventually wore out the bottom after 2 years. We break these down and store them for the winter in a storage box and usually get more than 1 year out of them. Totally worth it for the price. I just bought a 12′ diameter pool pad to go underneath. This should help with the rubbing and hopefully we can have one last for more than 2 years. The last one we bought had a stone pattern, and this one is just plain grey. Its ok, but would be cool to have more design options. I do love the interior blue square pattern for this model.
I don’t use the included pump. They work but have to be cleaned every other day. I bought a sand filter several years ago and only have to clean/empty at the end of the summer when I break down the pool.
Bottom line is that this is a great product that we love and use all summer to keep cool and have fun. The staff at Bestway should feel proud for building a high quality product that brings much enjoyment to many families. Thank you…

I purchased this pool. This will be the second one. We cannot wait to install it, easy to install the pump functions really well it’s got a quality build. It’s very sturdy. We bought this size to float and enjoy the summer sun. It’s 30 inches deep. it’s a very good quality Functions very well, I actually bought the pool mat to go underneath it and we plan to leave it up here around this year. We are going to build a permanent deck around it. I can’t wait to float this summer, my husband and I are teachers, and we look forward to relaxing at home this summer. , This is for us as adults the kids try to also use it, but we are normally in it most the time, it has a very good quality of material and the money value because I’m not having to take the kids places to swim
